Transmission Mössbauer spectroscopy (MS)

  • six experimental channels with various possible setups
  • room temperature (RT) measurement, velocity range up to ±24 mm/s
  • low temperature measurement down to 4.2 K (LHT) combined with an external magnetic field up to 7 Tesla

- helium bath cryostat by Janis Research with perpendicular arrangement of γ-rays with respect to the external magnetic field, temperature range LHT-RT, magnetic field up to 6 Tesla, standart velocity range ±12 mm/s (in preparation - in situ measurement of NMR spectra)
- helium bath cryostat by Oxford Instruments with parallel arrangement of γ-rays with respect to the external magnetic field, temperature range LHT-RT, magnetic field up to 7 Tesla, standart velocity range ±12 mm/s

  • measurement at increased temperature up to 1100°C in air, specified atmosphere or vacuum

  • measurement at increased external pressure up to 50 GPa

  • measurement in hermetically sealed apparaturus for in situ investigation of catalytic and oxidation-reduction reactions in specified atmosphere or vacuum with possible annealing of the sample without its exposition to air

  • RT measurement of conductive sample surfaces to depth of ~200 nm (in preparation - measurement in temperature range from 90 K to RT with liquid nitrogen cryostat)
