Henri Becquerel Prize for Nuclear research 2023

Our colleague Denisa Kubániová was awarded for her doctoral thesis "Magnetic nanoparticles of iron oxides for medicine"

In this year's competition for scientific prizes awarded by the French Embassy in the Czech Republic, 68 doctoral candidates took part in the competition, nominated by their universities or research institutes based on the quality of their scientific papers. Seven committees composed of 43 Czech and French professors and scientists awarded 24 candidates.

Denisa kubániová (second from left) from our Mössbauer spectroscopy laboratory took third place in the nuclear research category ("The Henri Becquerel Prize").

The ceremony, attended by Nobel Prize winner Jean-Marie Lehn (first from right) and French Ambassador to the Czech Republic J. E. Alexis Dutertre (first from left), and EDF Nuclear Czechia branch director Roman Zdebor (second from right), took place at the French Embassy on 22nd June 2023.

Congratulations and thank you for the excellent representation of the laboratory and the faculty! (photo credits © Eva Kořínková)
