Henri Becquerel Prize for Nuclear Research 2019

Fresh graduate Martin Cesnek from Mössbauer spectroscopy laboratory was awarded for his doctoral thesis "Structural modifications of metallic glasses with posssilbe applications in nuclear installations"

 

In this year's competition for scientific prizes awarded by the French Embassy in the Czech Republic for the best PhD research work, Martin Cesnek, a recent graduate of doctoral studies (first from left) from the Department of Nuclear Reactors of Czech Technical University in Prague, took third place in the nuclear research category ("Becquerel Prize").

 

The prize, sponsored by french companies EDF and ATMEA, was ceremoniously handed over by Nobel Prize winner Jean-Marie Lehn at the National Museum at the end of June 2019.
